Ale-ien Encounters: Beer, UFOs and Cosmic Shenanigans
Overview
Ale-ien Encounters is a road trip through the American Southwest where UFO lore meets craft beer and things tend to get a little strange. Starting in Las Vegas, you’ll ease into the experience with a few drinks and some questionable decisions before heading out along the Extraterrestrial Highway - a stretch of desert road known for sightings, stories and the occasional “that was definitely something.” Along the way, you’ll stop at alien-themed diners, roadside oddities and breweries that feel like they shouldn’t exist…but absolutely do. Think craft beer in the middle of nowhere, late-night bar crawls and conversations that drift from “normal” to “what if” without much warning. Then there’s Roswell. The place where it all supposedly happened. You’ll explore the town, visit the UFO museum, hear the stories and decide for yourself what you believe…ideally with a drink in hand. This isn’t a serious investigation. And it’s not just a beer tour. It’s a mix of road trip, storytelling and shared moments with a group that didn’t exist a few days ago but now feels like it should have. Expect long drives, good beer, strange stops and a week that gets progressively less normal. Believe what you want. Drink what you find.
Why This Tour is Special
- Drive the Extraterrestrial Highway – eyes on the road…and the sky
- Visit Area 51’s front door – they won’t let you in but you can wave
- Drink craft beer in places that feel slightly too remote to be normal
- Explore Roswell – decide what you believe, ideally after a couple of beers
- UFO diners, alien bars and absolutely no clear answers
- Conversations that go from “where are you from?” to “what if we’re not alone?”
- A group that starts as strangers and ends as your kind of weird

Tour Itinerary
Arrival in Las Vegas & Alien Welcome
Arrive in Las Vegas at your own pace and check into our downtown hotel, where the futuristic, slightly surreal vibe sets the tone.
We start at Area 15, an immersive complex that feels more like another planet than a building. Then it’s over to The Beast for your first drink- craft beer in a proper sci-fi setting.
Next, explore Omega Mart, a bizarre, interactive “grocery store” where nothing quite makes sense (in a good way).
Dinner at The Black Sheep, then into the beer properly - first at Tenaya Creek Brewery, followed by Big Dog’s Brewing Company for a pint under the night sky.
Overnight in Las Vegas…and a first sense that things might get a little strange from here.
The Extraterrestrial Highway
We hit the Extraterrestrial Highway! Today we check out potential UFO sightings, empty desert and the strong feeling we’ve made some epic life choices.
Quick stop at the Alien Research Center for souvenirs you don’t need but will absolutely buy. Then onto the Little A’Le’Inn for a UFO-themed lunch and a beer as nothing pairs with aliens like day drinking.
We creep towards Area 51, wave at the heavily armed guards and keep a respectful distance from anything that might abduct us.
Overnight in a campsite near Area 51 keeping a eye on the skies as well as our beers. 🍺👽
Alien Breweries and Sci-Fi Bars
We dive into Downtown Vegas for a day of alien-adjacent beer drinking. Scientific research, obviously.
Start at Hop Nuts Brewing for a laid-back pint in the sun, then swing by Triple 7 near Fremont for something fruity and dangerously easy to drink.
Fremont Street delivers the chaos: street performers, flashing lights and the sudden realisation you’re three beers ahead of schedule.
We duck into The Silver Stamp, a retro gem for a proper pint, then bounce between local breweries for hazy IPAs, desert-inspired brews and increasingly confident beer opinions.
Finish at the Haunted Museum, where things get weird, spooky and possibly still slightly drunk.
Overnight in Las Vegas. Spirits included. 🍺👽
Roswell, New Mexico - The Alien Capital
Morning flight to Roswell, where a “weather balloon” apparently crashed and everyone politely pretended that made sense.
We land mid-afternoon and get straight to the important work: breweries. A stop at Pecos Flavors for wine, beer, and something involving chilli that probably shouldn’t work (but does), then onto a local taproom for easy pints and even easier conversation.
As night falls, things descend into a proper dive bar crawl…the kind where stories get stranger and confidence levels rise with every drink.
Overnight in Roswell. If we’re still here. 👽🍺
Alien-themed Attractions
Final day in Roswell, a town that saw one “weather balloon” and thought…let’s build an entire economy around it.
We follow the trail of the 1947 incident, retracing who saw what, who said what and who definitely didn’t believe the official story. Then into the International UFO Museum for the full deep dive into aliens, conspiracies and increasingly convincing theories.
A wander through the Spacewalk and the town’s many alien-themed everything follows…as once you commit to aliens, you really commit.
We finish, naturally with an alien-themed bar crawl. At this point, anything unusual we see feels completely normal.
Late one. Possibly intergalactic. 👽🍺
Farewell
Check out of the hotel.
Tour ends.
WhatsApp group starts and refuses to die for years to come. Stories, photos, and the occasional “remember that night?” at 2am included. 🍺
